What is the ekklesia?

It is much more than a Greek word that we translate as "church". What exactly did Jesus declare that He would build in Matthew 16? Many believers who are honest with themselves can admit that something isn't working. We aren't producing mature disciples, our priorities are skewed and our organizations look much more like businesses than the family of God. We have ventured quite far from our New Testament foundations in our modern expressions of "church". There must be something possible that's more potent and powerful than what we've fully seen in our day. God is drawing us back to his foundational pattern in purity, without the things that have been added along the way.


The biblical exegesis, revelatory teaching and practical insight contained in this course has been processed over nearly a decade of pioneering in the New Wineskin. It contains keys that bring understanding around why we must change our convictions of what the "church" is, how we measure and cultivate maturity and the shifting required to become the called out assembly that bears His name. We must return to the blueprint of scripture, early church practice and the centrality of Christ and His Kingdom.
